Pro Audio Systems designed and operated a sophisticated system control and wireless package for the British Basketball League, this time at their recent play off finals.
Held at London’s famous 02 arena and attracting a crowd of nearly 15,000 fans, the event featured performances by a diverse range of acts including the Coldstream Guards, Flawless Street Dance, rapper EcKSell, Jon Moses singing the national anthem, the BBL Dancers, DJ Mark Leonard and MC Simon Hosannah who handled match commentary and crowd encouragement.
On the court the action included the Hoops Aid For Health (H4H) community final, an All-Star Game and the BBL Playoff Final itself, where the Newcastle Eagles defeated the London Lions to complete an unbeaten 2015 season.
PAS provided a Yamaha LS-9 digital mixing console, four Sennheiser 2000-series wireless microphone systems and a pair of their new Meyer MJF-210 high-powered wedges. The control gear was hooked up to the house system to deliver the entertainment and match commentary, while the MJF-210s provided monitoring for the DJ and MC.
